| Summary of students’ opinions on the trip to Prague |

Everybody mentioned the visit to the glass factory as a very nice and impressing experience. Equally
impressing was the visit to Terezin. Activities that were also mentioned a few times as enjoyable were
the visit to the brewery and the folkdance evening. The opera gave rise to rather mixed feelings. Most
were disappointed because of the fact that it took so long and that it was hard to understand what was
going on. But some also said that they had liked the atmosphere and the surrounding.
While one student mentioned the meeting with other (Czech) students at the folklore evening as interesting,
another said that it was pointless because they were so few among too many Dutch students.
The hotel itself was OK, including the breakfast that was served, but its location was considered by all
too far from Prague. Most would have liked to have more free time in Prague and to be able to go out at
night in the city which would have been possible if the hotel had been nearer to or rather inside Prague.
The dinner at the hotel Opera was considered nice but most students were surprised and disppointed to see
that every other dinner after that was pretty much the same but not so good.
Surprisingly, or perhaps not surprising at all, the long bus trip did not give rise to any complaints.
Even: “For the rest I absolutely loved the trip, the bus ride was great and easy because it was at night,
and the things were well organized.”
